Trump Jr. Steals His Kid’s Candy to Teach Them About Socialism. Twitter’s Response is GOLD.

Leave it to the Trump family to politicize Halloween.

Donald Trump Jr. joked that he was going to teach his daughter Chloe — dressed as a cop, of course — about socialism this Halloween. But if his tweet was any indication, Trump Jr. doesn’t seem to fully grasp socialism either.

“I’m going to take half of Chloe’s candy tonight & give it to some kid who sat at home. It’s never to early to teach her about socialism,” Trump Jr. tweeted.

Safe to say, this did not sit well with other users on Twitter, who either took Trump Jr. to task for his poor joke or schooled him on socialism. One user, referencing the Trump family’s notoriously bad history with “charity” work, suggested a fitting alternative.

“…or, you could tell her you’re taking it to help kids with cancer but then leave a wrapper trail so she can learn how Trump charities work,” user The Hoarse Whisperer tweeted.

After all, Donald Trump once moved charitable funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital — which provides children’s cancer services — into the Trump Organization. And Trump pledged funds from his inauguration to charity — but none has been given. And the list goes on.

Several users simply noted that Trump Jr. simply didn’t understand Halloween — and that it had nothing to do with economics.

“HALLOWEEN CANDY IS FREE CANDY THAT OTHER PEOPLE BOUGHT AND GAVE AWAY FOR FREE. don’t @ me bc you don’t know how halloween works,” one tweeted.

“You literally just took your child around to beg for handouts. Feel stupid yet? Because you should,” another tweeted.
